[su_spoiler title=”Emiko”]CTA Art 1600x1600x72dpi

Emiko began playing piano at the tender age of two.  By age twelve, she had begun her transformation from classical piano prodigy to rock ‘n’ roll starlet.

Hailed as “invoking Billy Preston as much as Billy Joel” by Keyboard Magazine and “incredible live!”, Emiko fuses sparkling pop with emotive rock, serving up fun, funky hooks that leave her fans wanting more. Her new single “Call to Arms,” produced by multi-platinum selling producer Mike Rogers, is indicative of Emiko’s trendy songwriting prowess and polished musicianship, as are her last two singles “Freeze Frame,” produced by Grammy-nominated Tommy Faragher of FOX’s Glee, and “This is Me,” produced by Howie Beno (Daft Punk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Depeche Mode).

Emiko continues to leave her mark in the pop and rock world as the host of Hammond Organ’s new Web-based channel HTV, and with endorsements from Hammond Organ, Alesis, and Daisy Rock guitars.

A three-time featured performer of the Songwriters Hall of Fame New Writers Showcases, Emiko has graced the pages of Billboard Magazine, FM Sound, and Music Connection. Songwriter credits include SONY/ATV, Star 1 Records/Universal Music Group, among many others worldwide.

Unknown Warm vocals, precise fingerstyle guitar. Twelve albums since 1979 filled with literate songs about the blessings and challenges of family and friends, failing and succeeding at love, selfishness and community, faith and doubt, youthful and grown-up adventures. [su_spoiler title=”David Starr”]

David Starr is an Americana singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist living in Cedaredge, Colorado. His music has roots in Arkansas blues, country rock and classic rock. Influences range from The Band to Jackson Browne to Eagles to Eric Clapton and Todd Rundgren.

He has played bars, college gigs, weddings and concert stages since the age of 14.  His Fayetteville, Arkansas hometown roots put him in close proximity to The Cate Brothers, Levon Helm and other great artists.  Starr played drums and sang lead vocals with numerous local bands in the northwest Arkansas before picking up the guitar and fronting both there and in Aspen, Colorado in the early ’80’s. It was during his time in Aspen that he was able to share the stage with the likes of the Nitty Gritty Dirty Band, Dan Fogelberg, Kenny Edwards and others.  He played in local Roaring Fork Valley groups as drummer, guitarist and vocalist, including the David Starr Band.

Starr owns and operates a retail music store called Starr’s Guitars in Cedaredge, Colorado where he makes his home. He gigged with the David Starr Band until the fall of 2013 when he decided to devote more time to his solo efforts.  The DSB opened for Travis Tritt, Survivor, The Guess Who and Clint Black in recent years in addition to playing dates all over the western slope of Colorado and in Starr’s native Arkansas.  In addition to keeping up a gigging schedule, Starr also promotes concerts in the small town of Cedaredge hosting such artists as John McEuen, Karla Bonoff, Michael Johnson, Dana Cooper and others. He also coordinates music for the Applefest every fall. And he  was also fortunate to work with John Oates on as lead guitarist on a couple of shows in Colorado and Arkansas.

He travels for gigs from his home base on the south face of Colorado’s Grand Mesa to performances in Texas, California, Arkansas and Canada. Plans are in the works for a UK tour in late 2014 on the heels of two UK HotDisc Top 40 chart successes with Way Past Ready (#6) and Alive Again (#13).

He has four solo CD’s and one with The David Starr Band.
